It begins with a simple intention: to make people feel seen. Danique (she/her) is an Amsterdam-based artist, photographer and filmmaker. Growing up neurodivergent, she learned early that the world looks different depending on where you stand, and that the most honest images live at those edges, in the moments where life feels complex, tender, and hard to put into words. The double smiley face tattoo on her arm captures what she keeps coming back to: that people can hold two sides at once, that life can be both. She works from that belief, and hopes her work contributes, in some small way, to a world that is softer, one that is more inclusive, connected, and accepting of one another. Since 2025, that vision has also found a home at Studio Brug, a women-led creative studio in Amsterdam where she collaborates on commercial projects that creates the bridge between vision and imagery.
